Tēnā koutou e te whānau
Today is our bubble trial day – an opportunity for us to iron out any wrinkles before we need to make a change. That means our students are in year group bubbles of less than 20 with the same teacher all day. School starts at 10am and finishes at 2pm with one staggered half hour break.
We will let everyone know when we plan to transition to our bubble timetable for real. We expect this might be next week.
The whole aim of our bubbles is to slow down infections rather than prevent them. We want to do our bit to help our health system. Thank you for keeping sick tamariki at home and getting them tested.
Thank you also to whānau who are keeping us informed about positive cases and close contacts. At this stage we are aware of 3 positive student cases in our kura community. There are also a number of our ākonga who are ‘close contacts’ isolating at home as a result of someone in the house being a positive case. Continuing to wear masks and practising good hygiene is reducing the chance of infection.
Please fee free to contact us if there are any questions.
