Kia ora e te whānau
I hope this email finds you well. We know that for some of us lockdown was great family time, for others not so much fun. We’re pleased to be able to get school up and running and looking forward to reconnecting with your young ones, our students.
As per Jacinda’s announcement yesterday, we move to level 2 on Wednesday and schools are open on Thursday.
We’ll need to practice good hygiene habits – elbow sneezes, washing hands, keeping our distance and staying home if sick (please remember to let us know if you’re keeping the children home).
Masks are encouraged, but optional (we have a limited supply).
Big theme going forward is wellbeing. Wherever our students are at with their learning and studies after lockdown is fine – we want them to come back and reconnect. We’ll need to do a stock-take of where they are at with their goals and put plans in place going forward. We’ve done this before and we know how to help everyone through.
Our cleaners will be giving the school the once over tomorrow and staff will be in setting up rooms with extra spacing, sanitiser etc.
Students will need to bring a drink bottle because drinking fountains are disabled under level 2 rules.
Students who come to school before 10am on Thursday are asked to gather in the quad.
Thursday’s Programme:
Online Learning
School Chromebooks
