14 Feb COVID Alert Update

Please share.
Tēnā koutou e te whānau
No doubt, you have heard about the change in Alert Levels from the three cases in Auckland. Some of you may be a little nervous so we’re sharing this message from the Ministry of Education because it reminds us what Alert Level 2 means for our kura.
1. School is open for instruction tomorrow.
2. Learning will be onsite with distance learning offered in some circumstances.
3. Schools are not classified as gatherings so the ‘100 rule’ does not apply.
4. Face coverings are not required at school or on any school transport.
5. We must practice good hygiene – wash our hands and not cough or sneeze on others.
6. Sick people must stay at home.
We will have a principal’s assembly in the morning to outline expectations to our students.
Any whānau who travelled to Auckland or New Plymouth in the last two weeks or have close contacts who did, please contact Health Line on 0800 358 5453 for advise before coming to school.
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
Ngā mihi nui, Matua Robin
