Tuesday 14th April
Kia Ora Koutou,
We hope you are all well in your bubble! During this new phase of ‘online learning’ the expectation is that you and your whānau are safe and well in your bubble first and foremost. Your child’s wellbeing is the most important thing for us at Tamatea High School.
By now, your child will have received, via their school email, their amended timetable starting tomorrow (Wednesday 15/4). They have one scheduled time to have contact with each of their subject teachers, each week. Teachers will use Google docs, Google classroom, email, Zoom or a combination of these and provide ongoing feedback. Teachers are looking forward to students engaging with them in this new learning environment.
Please do not feel overwhelmed or stressed if your child does not complete all of their work. We don’t expect parents to replace their child’s teacher. Take this time to enjoy being together and please stay safe.
Teachers, Deans and Senior Leaders can be contacted your child needs support or if you have any questions (see the school website for contact details).
Other support available includes:
Sarah Leonard is our SENCO – Special Education Needs Coordinator. She is available to help support students with special learning needs. If you have any questions about your child’s learning during this time please feel free to contact Sarah on firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, Nicky Anderson (Deputy Principal) can be contacted on email@example.com.
